Today I began developing some sleight-of-hand ideas for close-up magic that have been kicking around my head for a few months. I was sitting on the floor surrounded by reference books from the fields of magic, psychology, gambling and scams whilst muttering to myself and testing out some of my ideas…my flatmate walked in and said that I looked like a weird crazy with OCD. The truth is that to be involved in magic you must be a little bit crazy and OCD definitely helps. It got me thinking about how and why I work as a professional magician and if I am now permanently doomed to be crazy, thinking about the world from a magicians perspective…I think that the answer is yes. It’s too late to save me now…oooh a mirror. bye
