I have been performing close-up magic for more years than I care to remember and it is one of the most fulfilling passions in my life. My obsession with performance art, psychology, showmanship, magic and gambling are responsible for me earning a living as a professional close-up magician and I am inspired on a daily basis to continue to create practice and develop my craft as much as possible. There are of course aspects of working as a professional close-up magician that are not to my liking (the bread and butter aspects) but these are offset by the immensely rewarding aspects.

Currently I am moving into a new phase with my close-up magic and discovering new ways to enjoy this craft that previously I had perhaps neglected or taken for granted. I am still of course working heavily with psychological material, sleight-of-hand and presentation but I seem to have developed a fresh perspective on the nature of performance itself that has reminded me about why I became involved in magic in the first place.
