I have over 500 books on magic, mentalism, sleight-of-hand, cons, scams, hustles, gambling, psychology and philosophy. All of these books have in some way informed my performances either directly or indirectly. As much as I love having effectively a research library I am currently moving house and as a result I hate these books with a passion; they are so heavy. I was thinking about distilling my collection for my new house so that I can have a contemporary minimalist style…I have managed to get rid of three books…bugger. I also have over 2000 magazines…I think I should get rid of these first. Now I am moving house I seem to have an overwhelming urge to clean and throw out rubbish but I seem to be failing miserably.
