As you can see from the picture above this is a version of me with no beard. I love performing cardsharp material and I am one of the few magicians in the country who is able to demonstrate the stuff for real. This particular evening was a demonstration for the Croupier Club in London and in the shot above I am demonstrating a number of crooked shuffle techniques for the croupiers (specific to the game of Texas Hold’em). This was a great evening and it is always nice to switch persona and take on the role of a cardsharp for people who can appreciate it. I may have also performed some close-up magic for them but it was the crooked sleight-of-hand techniques that they were very interested in.
