In November 2009 I flew to Berlin for the Microsoft launch of Windows 7. This was a Corporate Magic event where I was performing Close-up Magic for two days. I had a blast although the German food is not great. I’m not a PC but I am always happy to perform Close-up Magic for Microsoft. The event itself was huge, with computer geeks from all over the world holding hands in celebration of the new Windows package, they all seemed very happy. After the initial entertainment I was asked to attend an nightclub in the middle of Berlin to perform again, This was loud. I cant say that I am a fan of Germany, it is OK. It feels like a slightly more depressing version of Slough. I’m sure that there are nice areas but this is the third time that I have been to Germany on business and it always feels this way. Maybe next time I will venture beyond the walls of the local pub.
