Close-up magic often gets referred to as close-hand magic or up-close magic, the correct term today is close-up magic. Many years ago it was known as pocket magic because everything that the magician needed could be carried in his pockets, this term has now changed to close-up magic. If you are looking to hire a close-hand magician or hire an up-close magician then rest assured that you have found what you are looking for with a close-up magician. It is the same thing. I just though that I would post this as I have recently had a number of requests for a close-hand and up-close magician….almost right but not quite.
